Welcome to the information page for the 1st Annual Southern Illinois Giant City Trail Run.
RACE STATUS UPDATE:
This race has been postponed due to the lack of support from Giant City State Park in finalizing the approval to have this race take place on the Red Cedar Hiking Trail.
We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause and are going to continue to try to get this race going and we hope that we can have it ready for sometime in 2013.
The race was Scheduled to take place on Sunday May 27th, 2012, the time will be posted later. The Course will be the Giant City Red Cedar Trail, which is a well-marked scenic 12mile trail with several creek crossings.
There will be at least a Half-Marathon (13.1) Race and depending on circumstances there may be other distances available, so check back often for updates. If you are interested in a 10K or Marathon Race let us know and we will see what we can do.
